Brincando no ar

Quem não gostaria de andar no ar, de flutuar, de brincar de cair sem se machucar, de usar nossos corpos para moldar tempo e espaço? É nisso tudo e mais um pouco que o artista argentino Tomás Saraceno se baseou para montar sua ‘On Space Time Foam’ ou como o próprio artista a referencia, ‘la lasagna’. Uma mistura de física quantica e arte que propõe três camadas de membranas maleáveis suspensas a 25m do chão, nas quais voltamos a ser criança. Inteligente, intrigante, facinante!

Playing on the air

Who has never wished to walk on the air, to float, to play of falling without getting hurt, to use her/his body to shape time and space? Argentinian artist Tomás Saraceno relied on that wishes and a bit more to build ‘On Space Time Foam’, or, as the artist calls, ‘la lasagna’. A mix of quantic physics and art which proposes three layers of malleable membranes 25-metres above ground, where people feel like back to their childhood. Intelligent, intriguing, fascinating!

Lygia e você

Sabia de Lygia, mas nunca tinha brincado com ela. A arte subjetiva e organica proposta pela artista envolve e faz com que o visitante faça parte da obra. Obras tocáveis, no sentido mais tátil possivel e tocáveis quando falamos de sentimentos. Sentir e interpretar com a pele, os ouvidos, o olhar. Brincamos com os bichos, vestimos máscaras e roupas estranhas, encontramos beleza num saco plástico inflado com o nosso ar e que interage com uma pedra qualquer de um rio qualquer. E isso é Lygia, que se faz perto de você e te convida o tempo todo a fazer arte com ela. Que ve arte em simples coisas que acha alí, no dia a dia de todos.

Lygia and you

I knew about Lygia, but I had never played with her. The subjective and organic art proposed by the artist makes the visitors part of her work. Her work is touchable, in the most tactile sense, while touch us when it comes to feelings. To fell and to interpret using our skin, ears, eyes. We play with ‘bichos’, wear weird masks and clothes. Then we find beauty on a simple plastic bag inflated with our air which interact with some stone from any river. And this is Lygia, who is close to you, who invites you to make art with her. Who sees art on simple things she finds on people’s routine.
